Community Support

“Community is key to recovery – to have a group of people around you who see you as you are and understand you and can enter into your story with you is critical to recovery.” – Daniel Whitehead, CEO of Sanctuary Mental Health Ministries

Support Group: Support Groups are a great way for participants to share their experiences and gain support from other attendees. Support Groups are designed to target specific topics. For example, some of the Support Groups that meet locally are GriefShare, Divorce Care, Al Anon, Overeaters Anonymous, Women’s Cancer Support, and Pregnancy and Infant Loss.

You are not alone. You don’t have to navigate challenges on your own. We would love to help you find the right Support Group for your needs.

Mental Health Readiness Program

We Believe…

If faith communities are equipped to create healthy spaces for discussing and addressing mental health issues then mental health will be destigmatized and people in churches and surrounding communities will have access to resources and care for their journey to health and individuals, families, and communities will be transformed into fuller versions of who God made them to be while incidents of depressions, anxiety, self-harm, addition, suicide, and domestic violence will decline.

What we do:

  • We equip faith communities to establish cultures of strong mental health and well-being.
  • We connect churches to local mental health and well-being resources. Resources include foundational training, early intervention training, and warm hand-off to professionals.
  • We care for the faith leaders of the church, equipping them personally with skills and knowledge to care for themselves before caring for others.
